Giggle Jar is for parents keeping track of their own kids. Here is what it keeps and what it never does.
What we keep
- Your name and email, so you can sign in.
- What you add: your kids' first names, birthdays, photos, interests, check-ins, and everything in the Jar (text, voice memos, photos, short videos and their transcripts).
- Reminder settings, and which devices you turned reminders on for.
How it's protected
- Everything about your kids is encrypted with a key that belongs to your household alone. Photos, voice memos and videos are encrypted before they're stored.
- Only the two grown-ups in your household can see your household's data.
- Your kids' names, photos and words never go into logs, analytics or emails.
What we never do
- No ads. No third-party trackers. We never sell or rent data.
- We never send a message for you. Share links are read-only, show only what you pick, and stop working when you turn them off.
- Pinterest and YouTube don't load until you tap to play or view.
AI
Some features use Anthropic's Claude API: filing a Jar entry to the right kid and chapter, and wording ideas for your family. The text needed for that one job is sent and the result is saved, so it's sent as few times as possible. Anthropic doesn't use API data to train its models. Voice memos are transcribed with Cloudflare Workers AI, which keeps nothing. AI never makes up a milestone or a fact; it only picks from Giggle Jar's cited library.
Analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics, cookieless, counts visits to this public site and a short list of screen names in the app. It never sees anything about your kids.
Your choices
- Export: Settings → Your data downloads everything.
- Delete: Settings → Delete my account removes your account and what's yours. If you're the last grown-up in the household, the whole household is deleted, including every Jar file.
